Formed in Ann Arbor, Michigan in 2012, Jive Colossus debuted at the 2013 Water Hill Music Festival. Driven by a 3-piece horn section and percussion-heavy rhythm section, the 10-piece collective activates the dance floor and take you on a high-energy musical journey through Afrobeat, Funk, Caribbean, R&B, Latin, Jazz & Soul. Nurtured by deep musical roots, members of Jive Colossus have performed with artists including Ray Charles, Bo Diddly, Percy Sledge, Kenny Garrett, Calypso Rose, the Temptations, Jimmy Dorsey, and Michigan festival favorites May Erlewine, Rachael Davis and Erin Zindle & The Ragbirds.
